Demonstration and Promotion of Jingke Glutinous Fresh Edible Corn in Countries Along the "Belt and Road" is provided by the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences. The core variety "Jingkenuo 2000" is a high-yield, high-quality and widely adaptable fresh edible waxy corn variety independently innovated and bred by the Institute of Corn Research of the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences. Since 2006, it has successively passed the national and provincial/municipal examination and approval in more than 20 provinces and cities, and has become the fresh edible waxy corn variety with the largest planting area and the widest planting range in China. This variety is the first corn variety in China to pass the examination and approval abroad, and is widely planted in the Republic of Korea and Viet Nam. It passed the examination and approval in Viet Nam in 2012 (named HN88), and can be planted 3-4 seasons a year in Viet Nam, with significant benefits and strong market competitiveness. At present, this variety has become the leading variety of fresh edible corn in Viet Nam, with an annual popularization and planting area of more than 1 million mu, accounting for more than 60% of the waxy corn planting area in Viet Nam, which has effectively driven the local industrial development and farmers' income increase. Its fresh edible corn seeds and products have been exported to more than 50 countries and regions around the world, highlighting the global influence of China's "Jingkenuo" fresh edible corn brand.
